First of all I have to apologise for my absence in writing a blog over these last couple of weeks. The reason is I have lost my mojo a little bit. I used to write a blog religiously every week and release it. These last few months I haven't kept to my own schedule and I am a little disappointed I haven't been strict on myself. However, I feel that If I did stick to my schedule then you would have read a rubbish blog and that's not what I want either.
Here I am anyway, trying to get back into writing. The last bit of writing I was doing was a race review for Hope 24, a 24hr running event. Since then I have done zero formal exercise but have been doing plenty of walking. During the weekends since then we have been doing plenty of travel to celebrate friends and family birthdays. We went back up to North Devon and then we took the van up to Hertfordshire. Whilst up there we took a trip into Knebworth for the Great British Food Festival.
After this I've taken the van away to Dorset for the week to do a camping trip with my friend and their dog. We did day trips around Dorset to explore the area and have a mini break for us both. We parked the van on a campsite and did trips in the car. For me this was a completely different experience of van life as I've always been used to parking up for the night and moving to a new location. This week I was pitched for the whole time and we had toilets, shower cubicles and dish washing facilities. It felt very posh for me compared to how we have used the van before. Even searching for water wasn't a problem as there were taps onsite to refill water bottles. Which we were very pleased for as the temperatures were in the high 20's.
I have made sure that I have taken time in the day to put up a quick instagram post yet I haven't been able to spare an hour or so to write a blog. There are so many ideas that run through my head about what I want to write about; before i've got the chance to write a few notes i'm packing for the next adventure, travelling or catching up from coming home. We've also had a few theatre evenings recently. Even our evenings are booked up.
Things are starting to settle down a bit now ( Fingers Crossed) so I should have a bit more time to express myself in my blog. These last few days I've got back on my bike and just pootled about to see friends and used my bike instead of driving. I always forget how much I love two wheel travel until I get back in the saddle. This has fired up my mojo again. Please let me know what you guys do to get your Mojo back - How you get past your hump?
