WoMo Newsletter: Monday 1st August 2022

Hey WoMos

I hope you are all well and managing the school holidays ok.  If you have managed to get on a flight, and have a holiday with no delays or issues, I celebrate you!  I keep hearing all sorts of terrible stories of lost luggage and delays at the airport. So much more challenging with mini people in tow.

This week I am speaking at Ideas Fest.  Book here if you fancy a day out! You don't need to camp overnight and it is family friendly.  Also coming up we have our Red Tent event in London in September. Please come along to our Womens Circle if you are in London town.

Finally, we have launched our new website for Ludo, the parent company of WoMo. The WoMo website isn't going anywhere for now!  Our latest features on the shiny new site are "The 101 of Optimal Digestion", "Working at home with the kids" and "Signs of burnout".

Please remember to introduce us to your employer.  We want to have a chat with your Head of HR or Diversity & Inclusion lead on how to retain female talent.

Have a wonderful rest of the week

THE 101 OF OPTIMAL DIGESTION

We hear from Hannah, one of our Ludo partners, on the subject of digestion. Hannah is THE guru when it comes to gut health. She is a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach who works with you to be the best version of yourself. Add to that she is a published author: The Best Possible You and an all round awesome human. We'd love to tell you more about how Hannah can help in your business to support the wellbeing of your people. You can book a free 15-minute consultation with Hannah here.

WORKING AT HOME WITH KIDS

This week we discuss working at home with kids. So many of us are in new territory in lockdown working at home. Whether you have little people, you are home schooling teens or anything in between, it's a challenge. Top tips are: have a routine, find a place to call your 'office' and find a bit of time just for you.

YOUR INVITATION TO JOIN US FOR THE LUDO RED TENT WOMEN'S CIRCLE

A Red Tent creates a safe space for women to come as they are and just be. Hosted quarterly, on the new moon, this is an opportunity for women to come along, meet other women, and come home to yourself. We will start with a discussion from:

Elizabeth Cowper, Founder/CEO of Ludo
Geeta Sidhu-Robb, CEO & Founder Nosh Detox and 5 time winner of Entrepreneur and Businesswoman of the Year Award.

Join us on 25th September at the Fair Shot Cafe, South Molton Street, London.

SIGNS OF BURNOUT

I am putting it out there and being open and raw with how I have been feeling. After feeling overwhelmed a few weeks ago, I reached a level of exhaustion like no other.

Whether I slept for 6 hours or 10 hours a night, I felt the same. I didn't want to go out and meet my friends, I cancelled social engagements and all the work I needed to do felt too big. I couldn't use my normal strategy of chunking the big workload into smaller manageable sections.  Does this resonate with you?...
