Screen Time Limits Don't Exist Before 9 AM

"At a very dark time in mine and my husband's life, our toddler was waking up every single morning as early as 4:30 AM," admits Katie Garrity. "My little girl was ready to party, bright-eyed, and screaming at the top of her lungs for someone to come get her out of her crib at dawn."

What can you even do with a kid who's up that early, that insistently? Well, the answer is simple, really: cartoons. Please enjoy this argument for why there's no such thing as screen time limits before 9 am.

Can We PLEASE Take Youth Sports Down A Notch?!

"Today, elementary-aged kids are specializing in certain sports and practicing year-round," writes Samm D. in this interesting piece. But not her kid: "Even if my husband and I were all in, my son still wouldn't have the drive to commit to any sport at this age. And he simply is not super motivated by competition." Is there a place for a kid without a killer instinct in sports today? There should be, she argues.
