"NC's new state budget funds pregnancy centers that steer clients away from abortion," does not explain that in 2022, the public tax dollar allocation is *an extra 3 million dollars* that the state budget is giving to these anti-abortion clinics. The Republican legislative leadership already had allocated an unbelievable $15.8 million over 2 years in the budget passed in 2021, so the 3 million increased the 2 year allocation to $19 million! The allocations have grown exponentially since the first giveaway of $250,000 in 2013. Many believe these anti-abortion clinics are harmful and state funding of them is unconstitutional.
