GKIDS has announced that it will release Atsuko Ishizuka and Madhouse's original anime film Goodbye, Don Glees! on digital platforms with distribution by Shout! Factory on December 13, 2022 and on a Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo pack on December 27, 2022. The release will include an interview with director Ishizuka.
The film screened in Japanese with English subtitles on September 14 and 20, 2022, and screened with an English dub on September 18, 2022 across theaters in the United States.
Goodbye, Don Glees! opened in Japan on February 18, 2022. The film also screened at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, which ran from June 13-18, 2022 in France. Montreal's 26th Fantasia International Film Festival hosted the Canadian premiere, and the festival took place from July 14-August 3, 2022.
