The PM stated that Khasi Kwarteng was a good friend and a close ally, probably that is why he was shot down in flames as he flew back to England having been on a business trip for the Conservative Party which he thought as Chancellor. I suppose this was to save his feelings from being hurt or even humiliated when he stepped over the threshold of number 10. There doesn't seem to be 'No Love Lost' when it comes to politics in the Conservatives. Just think had he been an enemy, would he had received fifty lashes and placed in stocks outside the Houses of Parliament for a week?
I suppose it would be a good thing on how to get your groceries cheaper when the nation throws rotten tomatoes and other vegetables at you for being a naughty boy. What would have been a better punishment is to get Chancellor to write out a hundred lines of "I must not disagree with the Prime Minister!" or maybe make him stand in a corner of a room in number 10 with a dunces' hat on, while having a cabinet meeting.
Of course it is all over a fantasy statement Mistrust had made about the Pensioners as written in bold headlines in one of our National Newspapers and I quote "PM's committed to the triple lock, Kwarteng tells fearful pensioners" and it goes on: 'Pensioners will be guaranteed an inflation-matching rise next year from its current level of £9,627 to £10,589.' And there's more: he spoke to try and smooth the tension of 12 million pensioners, some who foolishly voted for this make-believe-government that Mistrust was committed in making this commitment, but it wouldn't happen until next year when now would be an ideal time because of the cost of living crisis.
The word COMMITMENT seemed to be used a lot and I am just wondering how long in time for them to forget that word COMMITMENT.
Of course we are all aware that PIGS fly at great heights and remembering that a short time ago Doris promised the same thing. To be honest if I was a Tory follower I would be bitterly disappointed in their handling of being a government of any means.
They are absolutely full of empty promises and they think more about themselves and their billionaire and millionaire chums. This back-handed situation will carry on if the CONS systematically believe that they have the right answers to the mess and jeopardy they have put the economy in! Nay the country in!
It's like a Carry On Film – full of actors acting instead of governing the country. One would expect a child of five playing with bricks, but certainly not a politician that certainly should know better than to toy with the people's lives and certainly not those who voted them into power in the first place.
I suppose you could light the blue touch-paper and stand well away and wait for the explosion or vote this government out with a GENERAL ELECTION, but with no Doris tricks!
The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so! Swear words are not accepted.
