We Accidentally Found The Best Way To Recreate An 80s Childhood

"We moved onto a cul-de-sac seven years ago because the right house just so happened to be on one," recalls Hampton Williams Hofer. Maybe cul-de-sacs seem aggressively suburban or even dated, but it's turned out to be the happiest of accidents: "At the ends of the other five driveways live members of the herd of thirteen children we've deemed the sac pack, who swarm in the street and blaze paths from yard to yard, who hide out in patches of azalea bushes, who come down from the magnolia trees wild-haired, dirty, and almost indistinguishable from each other." I can't help but picture all those kids on bikes in E.T.

Is there anything big or small that you've done to create more of an 80s/90s childhood for your own kids? Would love to hear it: HiScaryMommy@bdg.com!

Sarah Michelle Gellar Says Kids Posting On Social Media Is Like Getting A Face Tattoo

Well, here's a comparison I just can't stop thinking about. Sarah Michelle Geller will let her kids browse her phone occasionally, but she won't let them post, for a very simple reason: "At that age, there's nothing better than Paw Patrol. And now you're 10 and [13], and you still have these tattoos on your face and it's not even who you are anymore," she explained "That's a very hard concept for young kids to grasp." If anything, it seems unfair to face tattoos — a beautiful tattoo is a work of art, which is more than you can say for most social media.
