Holy Sh*t, My Kid's A Tween Overnight

They tell you it happens suddenly, and wow, they aren't kidding: one day, your kid just wakes up a tween. Scary Mommy editor-in-chief Kate Auletta is just the latest mom to experience this phenomenon. She writes: "All of a sudden I saw a flash forward to five or six years from now, when he's a full-blown teenager and probably has terrible acne and permanently smells like his just-practiced-in soccer shin guards. There he is, still primping his hair in the mirror before heading to school in his sweatshirt and shorts. Time is fleeting."

Give it a read and see if you've experienced the same thing.

"Any parent of a child that's been on the receiving end of bullying knows just how heartbreaking of a situation it is — but it's no easier to be the parent of the bully either.
