Surrounded by the merriest of embellishments of scarlet and silver, with Christmas balls reflecting the joyous lights, ribbons bowing to the grandeur of the moment, and ornate stars everywhere seemingly heralding the commencement of the Yuletide Season; Seda Abreeza lights its Christmas Tree as part of an annual tradition that continue to spark joy and hope to a city that aspires to cope from recent challenges impacting the lives of its people.
This year's Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was held with a triumphant atmosphere, with symbolic scarlet and silver motif that speaks of purity and love—a message befitting a time of recovery and healing from the ill-effects of COVID-19 and sending sparks of hope as Davao City continues to move forward towards prosperity and development.
The event was made more meaningful with the attendance of Davao's most respected and prominent personalities, as well as Seda's loyal clients, family, and friends. The lighting ceremony lasted for a minute which made more extravagantly dramatic by LED wall dancing lights and angelic Christmas song renditions from the St. Gregory the Great Choir Group and the Black Box Band.
Seda Abreeza Area General Manager Kennedy Kapulong, in his speech, highlighted the resiliency that helped Dabawenyos get through the toughest of times and how shared memories become a significant part of this year's Christmas celebration.
"We wanted to remember the good memories we all shared and experience. Fond memories of the past year help us recall the times we overcame challenges. The not so good ones, on the other hand, we now find humor in those tough days. We even make crazy stupid jokes out of those memories. These memories are always sweet and special, and they also remind us of who we are today," Kapulong said.
Part of the annual tradition is Seda Abreeza's message to staff clients, and hotel partners to support meaningful causes that benefit those in need, including the hotel's Smile Train Campaign for children with cleft palates. In addition, Seda announced this year's exciting promos meant to add to its client's merrymaking for the Holidays. Now available are Christmas Hampers and Grazing Boxes. Room rates are now at Php 6,200 with 1 Mayumi Stuffed toy in partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation
Sir Ken Kapulong was always proud to announce that the hotel strongly and will always support Smile Train, a non-profit organization providing free corrective surgery and comprehensive cleft care for children with cleft lips and palates globally since 1999.
Everyone enjoyed the program as the Black Box band sang popular Christmas songs and other modern songs while Allan of St. Gregory the Great Choir of Toril sang like angels during the Christmas Tree lighting.
Upcoming events include the Christmas Dinner Buffer Special on December 24 for only Php 1,980, the Christmas Buffet Breakfast on December 25 for only Php 980 and the New Year's Eve Dinner Buffet on December 31 for only Php 1,480 followed by the Cocktail Countdown to welcome the New Year.
With the success of the Christmas Tree Lighting event and its continued efforts to serve, Seda Abreeza has already succeeded in ushering a Christmas of hope and triumph.
