Please if you are having food insecurity issues contact your local food banks. Call 211 for information. If you qualify for food stamps, apply. Colorado still offers commodity food programs. If you are a pregnant, or nursing mother apply for WIC, they offer whole foods now beyond milk and cereal. Please don't try to make formulas without medical advice. No one should go hungry in our country.
I volunteered early this morning at our local food bank. I had one patron comment that they needed a pan to cook. They had nonstick pans that are flaking. I had pans that I hated in my camping equipment. They are steel pans that do not work well on my gas stove. I called my husband to bring them up to give to the patron. My husband brought them up. He knew the family from work. We were offering a lot of rice, beans, and pasta today. They needed a good pan.
