Watch your HABITS be" My Lord, My Friend From The Heart mylordmyfriend Dec 7 Having the right mindset Proverbs 23:7 tells us "For as a man thinks in his heart so is he". Many have heard the saying "Watch your THOUGHTS, for they become your DEEDS. Watch your DEEDS because they become your HABITS. Watch your HABITS because they become your CHARACTER and watch your CHARACTER because it becomes your DESTINY. So much wisdom in the Word of God, and particularly in the book of Proverbs. So how do we 'watch' or another word may be 'guard' our hearts and minds from allowing wrong thinking to take hold, causing us to go off track in our walk with our Lord and Friend. Romans 12:2 "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind". Just as dirt is removed from our bodies by washing in water, so our minds are washed by the Word of God. Soaking our minds in Scripture enables our thinking to be cleansed and corrected, indeed 'transformed'. Let's be aware of our thoughts and choose to keep them 'continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind' Philippians 4:8-9 May the peace of God that passes all understanding, guard your hearts and minds IN Christ Jesus.
