Romans 5 verse 4:
"Endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope."
The dictionary states that endurance is: "The ability or power to endure.
And Our Lord and Our Friend gives us the ability by His words in:
2 Corinthians 12 verse 9: "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.'
James 1 verse 4:
"But endurance must do it's complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing."
Endurance must do it's work. I know for myself at times I have asked Our Lord and Our Friend, how long do I need to endure somethings. But He always reminds me that, right through out His word there is a promise.
Psalm 118 verse 1: "His faithful love endures forever."
His faithful love has given us His Grace, which is sufficient for everything and in everything we do.
And then again in Psalm 118 verse 4. Verse 4:
"Let those who fear {in reverent fear} the Lord say, 'His faithful love endures forever'." To help us.
And if that hasn't answered the question I put to Him I am reminded of:
2 Corinthians 12 verse 9; His Grace is sufficient, for our endurance, for all of us to reach the potential, He has for us in life.
Endurance with God's Grace, 'God's Grace' is the most wonderful blessing He can bestow on us, it comes from what Our Lord and Our Friend did by enduring, the agony of the cross, to set us free from the power of sin.
We never endure more than what he knows we can handle, but His Wonderful Grace is with us at every step.
And His word also says in Jeremiah 29 verse 11: "For I know the plans I have for you ……"
All of His plans require endurance, so we will become all that He wants us to Be. When we are faced with difficult times, we shouldn't view them as bad luck or misfortune, but challenges to endure with all the resources the King Of Kings {Our Lord and Our Friend} has for us.
Sure sometimes we make things bad for ourselves, by decisions we might regret, but nothing takes the Lord by surprise. Also we should remember, no matter what we are going through, we can always approach the Throne of Grace with boldness.
Endurance builds character, endurance build us into the person that God wants us to be mature and complete in Him, lacking nothing.
God Bless.
