Time to look at a bit of This and That!
Last Week's This and That
Last week I did a fair bit of online training for my new job.... it is kind of a refresher for me, which is good. And doing it online meant I could do it in between other tasks...
As you could see in the lasts post, I did join in on FNSI and yesterday I finished the tumbler quilt...
It's a big quilt and it was a windy day yesterday... I was home alone, so attempted to take a pic of it on the front fence... this was the only position I could get it in without in blowing away! But I think it gives you quite a good idea of the finish... yay - can finally cross it off my list!!
Last year I missed out on the Stay At Home Round Robin - I really wanted to join in this year. Yesterday I made my middle block... I took out some new fabric and my 12" Qube set...
And I picked a free pattern to make this block called the Mosaic #10:
I left the middle blank because I might add some applique or stitchery... depending on what the rest of the quilt looks like... Round 1 has gone up today, so I will work on that this week...
I think I'm going to enjoy this sewalong!
This Week's This and That
This week is going to be terribly busy... I have two full days of training in a town an hour and half's drive away... I think I am going to be exhausted on the public holiday after that... I am hoping to get into the sewing room at some stage, but not going to put a lot of expectations on myself...
In the Sewing Room
- Round 1 of the SAHRR
- Four Churn Dash blocks
- Make worksheets to keep track of the BOMs I'm doing this year, and revise the ones from last year
Today is the first day of the Shades of Blue Challenge! My project is done and ready to post tomorrow, but for now you can click on the image below to see who is posting today:
I hope you have a wonderful week!
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
You don't need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!
