Chaplain's chat
We are all in the war zone of life, and no one can escape; we all have to stand up and be counted. I have some great news though; the war has been won.
Even though the war is won, the battle still continues, and I wonder what battle scars you carry? What are the things that are wearing you down; criticism, disappointment, insults, hurt, loneliness, rejection, fear, abuse, broken relationships, grief and loss?
You know, the evil one is roam the earth, seeking out those he can devour, and will use any means available to destroy you. Through the disguise of goodness, he will try and win you over, but that is short lived.
Do not be fooled my friends, he is full of deceit and broken promises, and inflicts pain and suffering; he is a defeated foe, but he keeps fighting to destroy anyone he can.
We have all the ammunition we need in Christ our Lord, and over 3000 promises on which we can depend. The war is won, but the battle continues, so "seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near". Isaiah 55:6
I heard it said somewhere that "life is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what you're going to get". (haha) But I do invite you to open God's box of chocolates and experience the pleasures He offers.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and mercy, and for Your promise to us, that whosoever puts their faith and trust in You, You will bless and keep. Please protect us from the evil one, and give us the strength to stand in the midst of the battle as we journey through this week. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
Chaplain Ron
