Sometimes we need to be knock off our high horse, of comfort seeking to be Comforter imparted.
Acts 26 verses 12 to 18: The Apostle Paul, had fallen off his horse, when he was on a mission of persecution, against the things of God.
Saul as he was known before, his dramatic conversion, wasn't a comfort seeker in the world, he derived comfort from being zealous to the things he believed. Zealous against the things he couldn't understand, which thwarted what he believed.
Paul makes a great candidate for the Kingdom of God, his zealousness. Paul was knocked off his horse of zealousness, by The Lord. Paul instantly knew, that someone greater than what he was zealous for, had knock him to the ground. V15: Paul asks, 'Who are You Lord'.
Imagine Paul's mind when he found out: 'I Am Jesus who you are persecuting.'
Christ Jesus told Paul to, Rise and stand, He was appointing Paul to be a servant and a witness. Paul was instantly changed, and Our Lord and Our Friend was going to use the quality in Paul's life, now for Kingdom purposes. Paul's zealousness would now be used as a vessel for The Lord's glory.
When we accept Christ Jesus, He has plans for our lives, He to is telling us to Rise and Stand for Him, in a world that doesn't fully understand Who He is. He has given us a Helper, The Holy Spirit, also called the Comforter. Now we can no longer be comfort seekers, but seekers of The Comforter, and the power to help us, in our Kingdom work.
Isaiah 59 verse 19: {KJV} ""So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, The Spirit of The Lord shall lift up a standard against Him".
It is such a time as this, to Rise and Stand, as the Standard, Our Lord and Our Friend, wants us to convey to the world.
God Bless.
