When we watch from a distance
It all seems glittery and bright.
When we are soaring high
life is as beautiful as it gets.
But when we are tested in the waters
we feel helpless and unsure.
If only we could see the suffering from afar,
acknowledge others plight when success places us high
and work hard with hope and perseverance when the going is rough,
the world would be a better place for all of us.
A place where love and compassion surrounds us.
A place where we are each other's love, hope and source of joy.
