Give thanks
Have you ever wondered, "Lord what is Your will for my life?'
Here is one scripture that answers that question. 1 Thessalonians 5 verses 16 to 18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you".
"Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God's perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus".
Our Lord and Friend has a perfect plan for our lives, and He is able to work all things together for good, for those who love Him, and are called according to His purpose. Romans chapter 8 verse 28.
Thanksgiving and praise always go together. We cannot adequately praise and worship God without also being thankful. Psalm 106 and 107 say "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good". Psalm 100 verse 4 tells us to "enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and into His courts with praise".
A while ago I had a dream; in which I came across a garden where everything was grey. As I was leaving , passing through a rusty gate – I turned and said aloud "thank you". I was amazed to behold that the garden was being transformed as I watched. All the colors were coming back into the garden.
I believe the Lord was showing me that thanksgiving is a key to a life of color and fragrance and life in His Kingdom. Isaiah 58 verse 11, New Living Translation "The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like and ever-flowing spring".
Let's be those who obey the Lord's word and "in the midst of everything, be always giving thanks".
God bless and keep you always in His tender care.
