Luke 24 Verse 36: "Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, 'Peace to You".Luke 24 is about The Emmaus walk, and the disciples that were on the Emmaus walk, were explaining they had seen Jesus. it was a big and exciting thing to be able to explain to the rest of the group they had seen Jesus and He had risen from the grave. We would be sure that trying to explain such a wonderful thing, and the barrage of questions they would have took, they themselves might have thought did we really see Him.The doubt that would have been in that place. There would have also been hope and expectation, but could this be true, they most likely agonized. And then Jesus Himself came and stood in the midst of them.He always knows what to say in any situation we are in, and Jesus said, "Peace to you'.But like us all there was still some kind if doubt, V37 "But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit"But Our Lord and Our Friend, always knows, what we are thinking, and He said, V38: "Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?'The most traumatic day of the disciples lives had come to pass, they never really understood, what Jesus said before He die. i am sure if we were there, we would have have the same problematic thoughts.Jesus, Our Lord and Our Friend knows, and He comes right into our circumstances now, and says, "peace to You". Not just any peace, but eternal peace, from the Prince of Peace. We have just celebrated Easter, Our Lord and Our Friend knows all about us, that is why he suffered all He did, to give us 'New Life'New Life with a glorious Eternal Peace, for He has conquered everything, the world means for our determinant, and He now stands in our midst, and says Peace to You.The Celebration of Easter, Jesus has Risen. Risen indeed, so let His Peace, saturate our lives, so we can be His vessels of peace to a fallen world.God Bless.OFJ.
