Sunday, June 4, 5:00 p.m. in the Church.
Do you realize that All Saints Church has not been able to have a Spring Concert with its adult choirs in four years? This year our annual celebration of music returns!
Coventry and Canterbury Choirs will join forces to present Dan Forrest's Jubilate Deo in combined formation with chamber orchestra, celebrating our return with true joyfulness in music! After living through some of the toughest years many of us have known, with challenges to our well-being surrounding us, it is the desire of the choirs of All Saints to create joy, to celebrate our lives in community after this time of loss, grief and pain. Joy gives us strength, and is a powerful source of healing and hope. Forrest's Jubilate Deo brings to life the global aspect of the traditional Psalm 100 text, "Make a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!"
This seven-movement piece is sung in languages from all over the world, incorporating Latin, Hebrew, Chinese, Arabic, English, Spanish and Zulu. Mark your calendar and join us for this thrilling evening of incomparable joy in music!
