It's been a rather boring week for me. First, I'm still on the diet mommy put me on and I am getting used to it, but I don't know why it's so bad to eat as much as I like. The weather is much warmer so mommy is spending a lot of time outside. I'm left inside looking out.
I don't want to go outside, but I don't want mommy to go out there either. So what's a guy to do when he's bored? Well, sometimes I just lay on top of the scratching box. Mommy laughs and says I'm too big, but I'm not!
I do like to lay in the sunshine but when it gets too hot, I get into the shade. I've spent a lot of time just napping this week. The kitchen tile is the coolest spot.
At night, I've found a new spot to sleep. I like to curl up on mommy's bath mat outside the shower door. I scared her the other night. She didn't know I was there. I laughed, but I did it secretly so she didn't know I was laughing at her.
She plays with me, but not as much as I would like. Sometimes I entertain myself by running in and out of my tunnels and tossing my mice and catching them or batting them across the floor. I still get brushed every day and that's treat time, too.
Yesterday I was so happy and excited. One of my favorite people, Julie, came to visit. I started purring right away and following her and loving all over her and mommy! I couldn't contain myself! I love, love, love to have visitors because I know they come just to see me! When she left, it was time for lunch, and then I took a nice long nap while mommy worked on her puzzle.
On Tuesday, I was really bored and it was quite warm. I curled up on the footstool and reached down and hit the ball in my toy that I rarely play with. I think I like the noise it makes the most. I just batted it once and let it roll around. When it stopped I hit it again. See, it's boring. Yawn.
I wonder what kind of mischief I can get into? I know just the right things to do to get mommy's attention. Like pull the dish cloth into the sink and pull out the metal stopper. I used to pull the dish towels down, but mommy hung them on hooks inside the cabinet doors. She also hid the paper towels under the sink. I know where they are, but I haven't opened the doors to get them....YET!
Okay. Mommy says I have to get off the computer. I wish she'd just buy me one of my own. See you next week. Bye!
