Crunchyroll and Toei Animation have announced that it will be hosting the world premiere of the English dub of the 1,000th episode of One Piece at Anime Expo on July 2, 2023 at the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live.
In addition to the screening of the 1,000th dubbed episode, the special occasion will include other fan experiences like an autograph session with Toei Animation animators and dub actors Sonny Strait (Usopp), Patrick Seitz (Franky) and Ian Sinclair (Brook). There will also be a live drawing showcase and Q&A with the One Piece animators, a Luffy and Shanks statue display, demo stations for One Piece Card Game and One Piece Odyssey and more.
Entry will be determined on a first come, first served basis—limited to the maximum capacity of the venue and free to everyone—so those looking to attend won't need an Anime Expo badge.
