Psalm 119 verse 165: ' Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing makes them stumble."
Most people attitude to everything is it will be ok, until something happens. We often give as much attention to Divine Truth, as we do to our health issues but most times even less.. We only change our opinions about something when the opinions we have, seem to go wrong. In bodily health and spirit health, people need to be strong in both.
We need to develop a healthy lifestyle, both physical and spiritual. Just as we need a sensible diet in the natural, a regular diet of God's Word, is the only way to have a healthy spiritual life.
What is our discipline for exercising our heart, soul, and mind in God's Word. If our physical hearts need, so much healthy exercise so many times a week, perhaps a similar schedule would be in order for our inner lives.
By regularly placing ourselves under the instruction of God's Word, we are promised great peace and security. Psalm 19 verse 9;
"The precepts of the Lord are right, making the heart glad; the commandments of the Lord is radiant, making the eyes light up."
Bodily exercise can yield tremendous benefits. The Apostle Paul must have been a fit man to endure all his beatings, as well he was a man of The Word, like him we need to exercise both bodily and spiritually, so we can be radiant with The .Word of God.
Proverbs 4 verse 23: "Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life".
Our hearts need plenty of exercise so our bodies perform at our best, our hearts also need spiritual exercise to guard, as to what we let in. Somethings are not good for us. for they take us away from the purposes Our Lord and Our Friend has for our lives.
Matthew 6 verse 21: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also",
God Bless.
