Salvation brings New Life: excitement from the book of Exodus chapter 12: Instructions for the Passover.
God people were in slavery in Egypt, and they were told to prepare for the Passover, which would make a way for them to be free from the bondage of slavery. It was a lamb for a house. The lamb must be perfect. The blood of lamb was to be placed on the door post of the house, The lamb was to be partaken of.
The picture we have here is, people sheltered under the blood, and they partake of the lamb in at late night meal. They were not to be in their night robes, they were to be dress ready to leave. The blood of the lamb satisfied a Holy God.
Now a picture of Who we were, we were a people held by the bondage of sin. John 1 verse 29: "Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world". The blood of The Lamb, which satisfies The Holy God, is The Blood which achieved Salvation for us, set us free into a new life, and new journey.
Before the Lamb died, we could not leave, we were held by bondage. The Lamb did die, and by accepting what was achieved we have to leave and enter a new life that has been won for us.
Under The Blood of the Lamb we have protection, Through The Blood of The lamb we have freedom. Freedom that gives us a New Life in Him.
Revelation 21 verse 27: "Nothing profane will ever enter it; no one who does what is vile or false, but only those written in The Lamb's book of Life".
Once we have accept what Our Lord and Our Friend, achieved on the cross, we need to leave our old way of living behind, We have a New life to walk in.
The Old Song: "He paid a debt He did not owe, we had a debt, We could not pay, We needed someone to wash our sins away. Our Lord and Our Friend paid the debt, we could not pay. Our Lord and Our Friend has washed our sins away. Now we owe it to Him, to walk in the newness of life.
God Bless.
