Next Deadline for DCMS Youth Investment Fund Refurbishment Grants
Now open for its second round, the Refurbishment Grants stream offers grants of £10,000 to £150,000 for the renovation and expansion of youth facilities.
The building must be in an area identified as high priority based on a combination of youth need and low provision. An eligibility checker can be found on the Social Investment Business website.
Applicants must be working with children and young people, where the majority are aged 11 to 19 years. Where young people have a special educational need, funding may be granted up to the age of 25 years.
Refurbishment Grants are for projects which do not require planning permission.
The deadline to apply is 12th May, 2023.
Youth Investment Fund Details
Women's Urgent Support Fund Now Open for Applications
Smallwood Trust has opened the first round of its £3 million funding programme aimed at emergency provision for women most impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.
The fund is open to frontline voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that are women-led.
Funding must be used to support the provision of essential services to women most impacted by poverty and the cost-of-living crisis. This can include staffing, rent, equipment and organisational capacity development costs.
The deadline to apply for round one is 5pm on 19th May, 2023.

Triangle Trust 1949 Fund Reopens for 2023 Applications
The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund is once again accepting applications with a focus on young offenders or those at risk of offending.
Funded projects should follow a 'Sport 4 Development' approach. This refers to the intentional use of sport and physical activity to attain specific social development objectives, in this case to reduce rates of reoffending.
Grants of up to £80,000 over two years are on offer. Registered charities, not-for-profit social enterprises and community interest companies can apply.
The deadline to apply is 11.59pm on 21st May, 2023.
Triangle Trust Details
New Large Grants for Veterans' Supported Housing Services
Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has launched its latest grants programme, this time aimed at reducing rates of homelessness amongst the veteran community.
Charities, housing associations or registered social housing providers can apply for a two-year grant of up to £500,000 per year.
Grants can cover most costs associated with a project or activity including people's time, costs of delivering work online or buying/hiring equipment.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on 22nd May, 2023.
Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme Details
Carbon Emissions Reduction and Innovation Fund Now Open
The Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund and Innovation Fund make up part of Energy Saving Trust's Energy Redress Scheme and applications are accepted from registered charities, Community Interest Companies etc.
The Carbon Emissions Reduction funding is for projects that can demonstrate measurable and lasting reductions in the carbon intensity of energy end use and accelerate the transition to net zero carbon dioxide emissions.
The Innovation funding is for projects that support development of innovative energy products or services to benefit households and help to reduce the environmental impact of energy use.
Each fund has a pot of £750,000 and offers grants of £20,000 to £200,000 for projects lasting up to two years.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on 25th May, 2023.
Carbon Emissions Reduction & Innovation Fund Details
Energy Redress Scheme Opens for Main and Small Project Grants
Registered charities can now apply for Energy Saving Trust's Main and Small Project Grants Funds, which aim to:
- Support energy consumers in vulnerable situations.
- Deliver benefits to the types of consumers that were negatively impacted by the specific issues that triggered redress payments.
Grants can be used for capital or revenue funding and can provide up to 100% of the project cost. Projects lasting up to two years can be funded.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on 25th May, 2023.
Energy Saving Trust Grants Details
Nationwide Building Society Community Grants
The Community Grants Programme 2023 is now open, providing two-year grants of £10,000 to £60,000 in total to organisations working in the UK housing sector.
The funding is for local housing projects that will strengthen communities to support the most vulnerable by:
- Preventing people from losing their home.
- Helping people into a home.
- Supporting people to thrive within the home environment.
Applications are accepted from registered charitable organisations with a housing focus.
The deadline to apply is 1pm on 26th May, 2023.
Community Grants Details
Art Fund Opens Reimagine Grants 2023
The Reimagine grants programme is designed to inspire creativity and increase stability in the sector.
The funding is for projects that are:
- Creative or innovative
- Context-specific
- Impactful
- Engaging.
Applications will be accepted from not-for-profit organisations and can be made as a single institution, in a partnership, or with a collective.
Grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 are available.
The deadline for applications is 26th May, 2023.
Reimagine Grants Details
IUK Launches Second Round of Net Zero Hydrogen Funds
The Net Zero Hydrogen Fund provides capital and development expenditure to support the commercial deployment of new low carbon hydrogen production projects during the 2020s.
The first two strands of the programme are being delivered by Innovate UK (IUK), as follows:
- Strand 1 - Development Expenditure (DEVEX).
- Strand 2 - Capital expenditure (CAPEX).
Up to £45 million has been allocated to fund projects across strands 1 and 2 in Round two of the competition.
The competitions are open to single applicants and collaborations, carrying out projects in the UK.
The deadline for Strand 1 is 11am on 31st May, 2023. The deadline for Strand 2 is 11am on 7th June, 2023.
Net Zero Hydrogen Fund Details
Rewilding Innovation Fund Reopens for 2023
Rewilding Britain is offering grants of up to £15,000 to help remove barriers to rewilding projects whether they are at the early planning stage or wish to scale up pre-existing projects.
The Rewilding Innovation Fund will support rewilding projects on land and at sea, at a scale of more than 40 hectares, that adhere to Rewilding Britain's rewilding principles.
Applicants must first become a member of the Rewilding Network before submitting a full application. There are typically two funding rounds per year.
The next deadline for applications is 31st May, 2023.
Rewilding Innovation Fund Details
Forestry Commission Launches £5.1m Tree Production Capital Grant
The Tree Production Capital Grant provides funding to help tree nurseries and suppliers invest in projects which improve, expand, automate or mechanise their operations.
The scheme is looking to support projects with outputs that will better equip nurseries to supply the trees required for new woodlands and urban planting projects.
Up to £5.1 million of funding is available.
Eligible organisations include private sector nurseries and seed suppliers, public sector organisations, environmental NGOs, and community tree nurseries.
The deadline for applications is 11.55pm on 31st May, 2023.
Tree Production Capital Grant Details
IUK Launches Net Zero Living Digital Accelerator Competition
Through this competition, Innovate UK (IUK) is supporting ambitious, early-stage digital focused businesses in developing and delivering net zero in relation to challenges based on place.
Proposals must focus on two or more net zero challenges across:
- Power
- Heat
- Mobility
- Product manufacture and usage
Up to £1.5 million has been allocated to fund industrial research projects.
The deadline for applications is 11am on 7th June, 2023.
Net Zero Living Digital Accelerator Details
Arts Council England Offers £10m to Improve Libraries
The Libraries Improvement Fund will enable library services to invest in a range of projects to upgrade buildings and technology so they are better placed to respond to the changing ways people are using them.
A local authority making an application on behalf of a library service is eligible to apply.
Capital expenditure between £50,000 to £499,999 will be awarded.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 12pm on 19th June, 2023.

Community Business Trade Up Programme 2023 Opens for Applications
The Community Business Trade Up Programme is open to early stage businesses
This year the programme offers:
- A free learning programme, to help build income, confidence, resilience and impact.
- Up to £5,000 Match Trading grant.
- A community business peer mentor.
- An opportunity to meet regularly with other people running similar organisations with the aim of helping each other out.
Applications are now open with a deadline of 12pm on 26th June, 2023.

Artemis Charitable Foundation Accepting Applications for 2023 Funding Round
The Artemis Charitable Foundation is offering unrestricted grants of up to £5,000 to support projects and activities in the following key areas:
- Health.
- Education.
- Poverty.
- Environment.
One-off awards are typically made to small-and-medium-sized charities.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on 30th June, 2023.

Further Funding to Support Grassroots Live Music
Arts Council England has confirmed that a further £1.5 million has been ringfenced to continue its Supporting Grassroots Live Music programme for an additional six months.
Applications are accepted from organisations whose main function is to host and/or promote live music events in venues.
The funders are also keen to support projects which develop diverse approaches to music programming, incorporating for example: classical, jazz, folk, and/or world music alongside contemporary pop.
Grants of £1,000 to £40,000 are available for up to three years of activity.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until September 2023.

Masonic Charitable Fund Reopens for Applications
The Masonic Charitable Foundation is once again open and providing grants under the following programmes:
- Children and Young People
- Later Life Inclusion
The funds are open to registered charities with two levels of grant funding available:
- Small, unrestricted grants of £1,000 to £15,000.
- Large project grants of £10,000 to £60,000.
Charities can only apply for one of the two programmes at a time.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Masonic Charitable Fund Details
AHF Launches New Grants Programme
The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) is offering new funding for 2023-2024 which aims to help a range of not-for-profit organisations, including social enterprises, through the early stages of planning to restore and re-use historic buildings.
Project Viability grants of up to £10,000 are available and are normally valid for one year.
The funding can be used to meet a range of costs, including fees for professionals to undertake initial surveys, designs and costings, advice on legal and governance matters, and help with outline business planning, market testing, and fundraising
Expressions of Interest may be submitted at any time, but applicants should bear in mind that the programme closes to full applications on 26th January, 2024.
AHF Grant Details
Education Trust Capacity Fund Opens for 2023-25
The Trust Capacity Fund (TCaF) will award funding to support trust develop their capacity and take on underperforming schools, particularly in education investment areas (EIAs).
A total of £86 million is available for this programme.
There are four strands of funding ranging from £50,000 to £750,000.
The current funding round will open to applications until the final deadline of 30th September, 2024
