Matthew 6 verse 33: "But seek First the kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be provided for you."
Where is our hope built?
Hope build on anything thing but Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, will sadly crumble. But what we build in Him, our character, our life, our work, and all we are, will bear fruit, far more than we can imagine.
Faith of people down through the centuries, is still evident today, despite what is happening in our world. Today's hymn that reflects the faith from the past, and gives us hope for the future is, 'On Christ The Solid Rock I Stand'.
V1: My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus name.
V2; When darkness hides His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
V3: His Oath, His covenant His blood,
Supports me in the 'whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
V4: When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found,
Clothed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne!
Chorus and it is a great one! On Christ, the Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
The world and everything in it will fail, but faith as the many believers who have gone on before, have found, that in Their Lord, Their Savior and Their Friend is the only thing that will stand.
Faith passed down will not save anyone, but faith sought caught and received for oneself, will lead us to find and understand, 'On Christ The Rock', we can stand despite of any circumstances.
John 3 verse 16: Tells us: Any 'Whosoever' can come and know that Love and Faith for themselves.
God Bless.
