If this is your day for rest, you still need to be encouraged. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Psalm 91 Verse 1 and 2:Psalm 91 verse 1 and 2;
V1: "The one who lives under the protection of the 'Most High' dwells in the shadow of the 'Almighty'.
V2: "I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, my God in Whom I trust'".
Here King David, just didn't just agree with God's promises. David didn't just read God's promises and hope, but unfortunately there are a lot of people, who who do just that.
Here King David boldly declares, 'I take refuge in God'. That is what we all must do, too, and we must do it by faith. It is good thing to read the Bible, but we must embrace the Bible, as God's Word for us. We, too must say, 'We take refuge in God'.
We, too must be not just readers of the Word, We must be people who purposely place themselves under God's authority. We must be people, who walk in all He has for us, and continually be searching, for more of Him in our lives. It is walking in The Light as He is in the Light, we will always find ourselves exposed in the Light, which is the best way, because sin will find no place to hid.
Here David also boldly declares, "My God is my refuge and my fortress, in Whom I trust". What we find by this declaration is, it is not just what we believe that matters, it is what we say.
When we believe and declare Faith, we are actually pleasing God. Hebrews 11 verse 6:
"Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him".
Perhaps then we will come to understand more, Romans 8 verse 1, about being In Christ Jesus. because He is our refuge, our fortress and our all sufficiency.
The Word of God is wonderful read, but in reading, we should let ourselves be embraced, by all the Promises He has, for those who love Him.
It is out of that embracing love around our lives, others will find and know more about His wonderful love, for any 'whosoever' John 3 verse 16.
