We're going to move from tv shows and movies this week to good 'ol fashioned anime. Starting off with the first anime I was eager for this year, Isekai Nonbiri Nouka (Farming Life In Another World). I'm a huge fan of this light novel. It's one of the best slow paced daily life isekai I've ever read. An older man gets reincarnated and just wants to be a happy farmer. He ends up being super strong but doesn't actually use it for much outside of his farming in the world's most dangerous forest. Most of the time everyone around him is just using his good-naturedness to do things. Plus, his harem is not annoying. They're great. It's always refreshing to read an isekai with a cheat bastard who doesn't act like one or have his harem become the most important aspect of everything in the story. Furthermore, I'm a huge fan of all the children he he's had up to this point. Kinosuke Naito really knows how to write this sort of story as well. You don't really run into a lot of the walls that other light novels like this have based on how a story is written. Yasumo, the illustrator, is also really talented so the series is accompanied by high level art work. I think light novel wise the only thing I'm wait for (this is going to be some spoilers) is for Ya and Flora to have a baby finally and the Beast Boys trio's wives to finally come to the village! The manga I will also say does not live up to the light novel and anime. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near as good. Highly recommend checking out this 2023 anime!
