Alisa Kennedy Jones has a fun recommendation for you today: Throw yourself a welcome-to-perimenopause party. She did! "Mine was a completely chaotic Bridgerton-style bacchanal thanks to a girlfriend who happened to be a costume designer for the movies. And while it was a bit silly and over the top, the night itself actually meant a great deal to me in the end. I only wish I'd been a little more organized in the approach."
And today, she's sharing what she wishes she'd known, for the best possible experience to mark your entry into this stage of life. Any excuse for a party, right?
Like most of us with little kids, Elizabeth Narins has a lot of mess around her house. And she's wondering about a possible source of help: "Whether the blame falls on my toddler (an actual toy tornado) or my husband and I (we're two slobs stretched too thin to keep things tidy), it's not our babysitter's fault. However, given the amount of housework that clearly needs to be done, paying someone to sit on our toy-covered couch during naps or after bedtime just seems... inefficient." And now she's wondering if it would be OK to add some duties, so she investigated. You'll want to hear what she found out.
