For the past two weeks, I was away in sunny England. Having never been to England before during the spring/summer changeover, I was swept away at the beauty of nature in all its glorious splendour.
Touchdown was at Manchester. Then, we drove through the Yorkshire countryside to reach Scarborough, the first stop on our travels.
The scenery was picture perfect with rolling hills of verdant green, spotted with lush meadow flowers, amidst the grazing horses, cattle and sheep.
In our short stay at Scarborough, a quick walk through the Prince of Wales Park and its surrounds provided many happy snappy opportunities, which have been posted along with this article.
Since oceans of ink have been spilled on the benefits of walking, I will not bore you here. But, here's a different take on walking…
One of the best ways to appreciate nature is to take a walk outside, and nature always springs surprises, if we take the time to look, right where we are.
Armed with smartphones, our snaps become treasured keepsakes which can then be turned into digital photobooks. Snapshots can also be shared with likeminded friends, and those who have a creative flair, there is always Canva.
Perhaps this month, as a challenge, we could all slip into our walking shoes, head outdoors and enjoy nature while nurturing our spirit.
