"The Myo and D-Chiro Inositol is not a miracle drug that will work overnight."
I repeated the above statement to myself internally while I held the bottle for the first time. Yet part of me was holding on to the hope that by the first week of taking the tablets everyday something would happen. Anything would happen.
Here I am, repeating the same statement to myself two weeks later: The Myo and D-Chiro Inositol is not a miracle drug that will work overnight.
I keep repeating it like a mantra. I know it'll take time to work, that's why I said I would give it three months before I see a doctor. But shouldn't two weeks count for something?
The only new thing I've experienced so far is abdominal cramps and I can't decipher if it's period cramps or cramps because I have PCOS or ovulation cramps. Each time I experience cramps I think to myself this is it, today is the day, my period will come.
And I repeat the statement again: Myo D-Chiro Inositol is not a miracle drug that will work overnight.
I remind myself that a little patience is needed. Just two more weeks till first month passes.
A little patience is needed because I've forgotten to take all four tablets during the first week.
A little patience is needed because it took me the second week to realize splitting the dosage between breakfast and lunch was more feasible than splitting between breakfast and dinner.
A little patience is needed because in total I've spent a year without a period and another two years on the pill.
A little patience is needed because treating the actual problem may be require medical intervention.
A little patience is needed because I cannot control PCOS.
A little patience is needed because I need to be gentle on myself.
A little patience is needed because my body is not failing me.
