What follows is a summary of supposed news about Bond 26 (whenever that gets made). You can find the specific links on the Bond 26 timeline.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the next Bond! You all remember that, right? The likes of The Sun (November and December 2022), Puck News (January 2023), and Giant Freakin Robot (January 2023) said Taylor-Johnson was the leading contender.
Since then? There's still no sign the actor has the role. Or anybody else for that matter.
Henry Cavill is in talks to be Bond 26's villain! Another gem (January 2023) from Giant Freakin Robot.
Daisy May Cooper is in talks to play M! This gem came out in March 2023, via The Sun.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the preferred choice to direct Bond 26! The Mail on Sunday (Sunday edition of the Daily Mail) on April 1 came out with this. Despite how the writer-actress doesn't have many directing credits, this story got some traction at the time. Waller-Bridge was one of the screenwriters on No Time to Die.
Rebel Wilson auditioned for a part in Bond 26! This came from Variety in a May story. But there was no indication the trade publication pressed the actor for any details.
Meanwhile, there is no way for outsiders to figure out if there is any progress on Bond 26. Even if Eon Productions wanted to move forward (not a cinch), the WGA strike would prevent any actual work on a script.
