If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Psalm 119 Verse 2:
Psalm 119 verse 2:
"Joyful are those who obey His laws, and search for Him with all their heart".
God doesn't play games of hide and seek with any of us. He never hides, He is always available for those who seek Him.
Joyful are those who obey. God's laws are not like mans laws, that are either for the protection or good of people indirectly or for revenue. God's laws are for the good us us, individually and collectively.
Our Lord and Our Friend, knows what is good for us, and what is not good for us. God's laws are not fun resisting laws, they are laws that by following will bring us great joy.
In the New Testament, Our Lord and Our Friend, gives us a new commandment: John 34 and 35:
V34: "I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another".
V35: "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another".
In Galatians 5 verse 14: Tells us:m "For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'."
Society has polluted how we think, 'love ourselves'. this thought makes us look selfish and arrogant, and this way of thinking is turning the Words of God, to be against the good that they were given to us for.
A New Commandment, 'Love one Another', unless we love our Creator, and accept and return that great love, He has for all of us individually, we can never really love ourselves or others.
Unless we take the time to know Him, through His Word, through the evidence of all His creation, we can receive pleasure, but really not know what it is to be truly 'joyful'.
"Joyful' {full of Joy} are those who believe, trust, have faith, with reverence and continually search, with all their hearts for more of the Loving God that created them.
Just as the world system has perverted the word love, the word 'joyful', has much more wonderful understanding, if we seek after the things of Our Lord and Our Friend.
