It has been one of those days. Our daughter spiked a fever. The dentist ordered antibiotics. Our daughter is taking fluids better. We have had difficulty with a dog in the neighborhood for a while. I was outside gathering vegetables for the family dinner. The dog decided to bite me on my glutes. He went for a second bite. My husband was able to get him off me. I drove myself to the hospital. The neighbor wasn't cooperative in showing his rabies certification. You don't know it was my dog bit you. I reminded her that I am his third biting victim. If I had to take a series of rabies shots because she can't keep her dog under control, it wasn't going to end well for her in the court system. I reminded her that I have it on security cam. She came to the hospital very quickly at that point. I filed a police report with the security cam footage, my hospital report, and the nasty voicemails I received from the neighbor. I needed 6 stitches. There is nothing worse than an intact, untrained male dog. This could have been worse for sure. It could have been a nightmare for a child.
Sometimes, life goes sideways. I won't be running for a bit or lifting weights. I am not one to lie around when I am ill or hurt. I cannot tolerate pain when I am still Our daughter finally fell asleep. Our son made Shrimp scampi for himself and his dad.
I was up most of the night. I ended up reading another book from an author I didn't care for. I completed some housework. I edited a few chapters in my novel. I am toying with the idea of changing the title from 1955 to If It Could Only Always Be 1949.
