This week on Frugal Friday I want to share an app that's helping me to be more content with the clothing I already own and realizing that I don't need to buy more clothing. What's more frugal than not shopping at all?
The app, called Open Wardrobe, is all about mixing and matching your own clothing. It does take a little while to upload your pieces, but once done, it's fun and games from there. In total honesty, I only uploaded my current capsule wardrobe pieces, to see how I liked the functionality of the app. I'm really hooked on this one!
Like many, I have great pieces of clothing from different price points in my closet. However, I struggle to see past one or two combinations of those pieces with each other. I'm hoping that by using this app to plan and track outfits, I'll be able to come up with new ways to wear what I already have.
There are some awesome tools in Open Wardrobe that I just couldn't get on paper planning my clothing for the next season. The app tracks the cost per wear, suggests new outfits combinations, and more. I love the data analytics that come with this app, but also seeing where I might have gaps in my wardrobe. I will shop more responsibly with this app now that I know I have enough black and denim skirts!
I hope you're having a wonderful week, and Happy Friday to you!
Stacy
