I am a morning person. There was a time when I woke up almost an hour before dawn. Now with a bit of age and some mdication I still manage to rise just before sunrise. The next 90 minutes are mine, exclusively mine as I am the only person 'alive' at home, rest are sleeping! So I tried to express my routine in form of a poem:
As the dawn whispers in my sleepy ears "Your favourite time of the day is here!" As I leave lethargy in bed, my spirit unfurls Natures's call attended energy in me swirls
Day still withheld by dawn in its magical hues The perfect time for paying the body it's duesMy freehand routine followed by yoga moves Flexibility & joints flow get smooth, improves
Pranayama nestles such a soothing calmness Meditation ceases thoughts, feel in wilderness Here 'self' and 'soul' unite in a reunion so great Feel gratefulness, love and compassion integrate.
And now's time for Tea's fragrance, I lovingly brew, Sipping it, Scribble prose and poems, dreams anew. This about ninety minutes is the time I spend It sets my day to upward happiness trend.
Oh, these precious minutes is my treasure chest The best time of the day, feel truly super blessed So dear friends take advise, rise before sunrise Sleeping a little less for this is so little a price.
