See, how if you whined loud enough, then, it'd become, a FEDERAL CASE??? Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
A couple of months ago, I'd taken the trains to Yingge for my porcelain painting courses.
When I was on the trains, I'd originally, NOT dared to sit in the priority seats, believed that I am still young, and it'd felt a bit, shameful when I sat in the priority seats.
So when I'd sat in the priority seat, I'd always, taken out my elderly card, and, showed it intentionally to those around me, wanted to tell people, don't think I'm still young, I'm, legally, an, elderly, person.
Until a couple of times later, when the younger generations let up the priority seats to me, and called me "uncle", told me to not walk too fast, to watch my steps, to be careful, that was when I'd realized, that I'm, an elderly in people's, mind then. And, every since, I'd felt, comfortable, sitting in the, priority seats, and, dozed, off.
But, when I sat in the priority seats, I'd always, let my seat up for the pregnant women, those ladies with their young children in their, arms, or those who look like they needed to sit.
Hearing the writer, Lee's complaints, stating how as she alighted the MRT, nobody let her/his seat up to her, I think, she didn't need to get upset over it, first, it'd meant, that she still looked, young, secondly, maybe, the younger person actually, needed to, sit for a while.
I'd not bumped into the writer, Lee when I got on the MRT, had I met her, I would've, gladly, let her sit in the priority seats, I'd read her novels when I was growing up, Lee, she was my idol when I was, younger.
And so, this is, on how the writer made a scene, and, maybe she was, just wanting the attention of the public, who knows, but, there's NO rules written down, that whoever that sat in the priority seats should give their seats to someone who's elderly, who's pregnant, who's a child, or, who's a, handicap, and this writer just, blew things out of, proportion.
