Leute, schon wieder eine tolle Nachricht.
Folks, once again, good news for you if you are a parent in Germany or are soon planning to be one. Germany has confirmed new child benefits starting from 2023, in less than two years. The objective of this policy is to fight child poverty and simplify the benefit system for families. Here's what you need to know about it:
The policy will now consist of two parts: a child guarantee amount and supplementary child amounts. The former will replace the current benefits for the child and will be €250 per child per month, independent of the parents' income. The latter will vary based on the child's age and the parents' income, with lower-income families receiving a higher amount. This seems fair, doesn't it?
You will be surprised to know that more than five million families at risk of poverty will benefit from this policy. Additionally, the child allowance will have a single point of contact for all child benefits in the future, making the process more straightforward. (I'm crossing my fingers for that!) For anymore details, you can visit the Bundesregierung page.
Das hört sich super an! Also,
Ciao Kakao!
