 | Homemaking in the Dunes Sep 10 | Daily writing prompt Describe your ideal week. My ideal week is when the weather is a perfect 82 degrees. The skies are clear. I finish my work early in the morning. Some days, it lightly rains. There is a light breeze. My family blissfully does the activities they love. My husband watches football as I write at my rolltop desk. Our daughter does her art and our son plays piano. I bake every morning. Soups, skillet meals in the crockpot. Folks stopping in to join in our days. There are many chores and new skills to learn on the homestead. there are bumps along the way. Sassy teenagers, angel food cakes that overflow in the oven and char. Rental issues that need to be fixed. We sing silly songs to our granddaughter on Marco Polo or I read her a book. Sometimes, I dress up in costume and makeup to bring books to life for her Life ebbs and flows, and the bumps keep it interesting.
