I finished my patriotic sampler quilt top last year. I started hand quilting it during the colder months. It worked out well, because the quilt kept me warm as I stitched, but there came a point when I was not finished yet and the weather turned too warm!
This particular quilt has a wool batting. It will be extra warm in the winter months here in Virginia. It will be especially useful if we lose power during colder months, as the wool keeps in heat!
I'm liking the way it's turning out. I love the way hand quilting looks. I get slightly impatient at this point, when it's about halfway finished, to see it completed. My time working on the quilt is somewhat limited, though, because my little orange fur ball likes it very much too. It's often a competition to see who can get to it first in the evenings!
I hope you all are doing well. I apologize for my short break from blogging. I've had family things come up in the last few weeks that have definitely taken precedence. The only promise I can make is that I will write when I can! I hope this finds you well, and may the cat stay off your quilts!
