Transformation Continuing
We sometime forget as Christians that receiving the New Nature does not eliminate the old nature we are born with.
Transformation is very real and complete in Christ Jesus, but not fully apparent this side of eternity.
The old nature {which had its origins in our physical birth} fights against the New Nature, which we received when we were Born Again.
2 Corinthians 5 Verse 1: "For we know that if our earthly house tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens".
No amount of self-discipline, no set of human-made rules and regulations, can control this old nature. Only The Holy Spirit can enable us to put to death the old nature and produce the Fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5 Verse 22 and 23:
V22: "But the fruit of is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith",
V23: gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law".
Transformation continuing is a process that continues on a daily basis for every believer throughout life.
Let each day be a transformation time as we grow more and more into the likeness of Our Lord and Our Friend.
