It's nearly Thanksgiving here in the United States! I love this time of year, a time specifically set aside for gratefulness to the Lord. I try to live in gratitude for life and for my people, so it's not that odd for me to celebrate being thankful. I'm thankful for each of you, too! Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
Because I have quite a few decorations bought over the years, I have to start my Christmas decorating earlier than Thanksgiving. I like to begin with the reason for the season, Jesus. Over the weekend, I set up nativities to remind me and my family the reason we celebrate this and every season!
The precious moments nativity belongs to my mom. Isn't it adorable? She collected the pieces when I was quite small, and it's fun to see how inexpensive they were at the time! I believe we gifted her some of the pieces, too. It's special to me because it's special to her!
I'm not getting much sewing done, but that's ok. I'm not in a sewing season, I guess. I think January will be a month of getting back to projects that I'd like to finish, not all of which are quilt related. I have an ever-growing list of things I want to do for my house in the upcoming year, so look for more homemaking related posts! For my own sake, there will be sewing things mixed in!
I hope you have a wonderful week, and a lovely Thanksgiving!
Stacy
