This week in London, there was an event about 007: Road to a Million, the James Bond-themed reality show. Eon Productions is involved but isn't actually making the show, which will be on Amazon Prime.
Still, questions came up about Bond 26. In a Variety story, Eon boss Barbara Broccoli said (again) not to expect anything soon: "It's gonna take a while for us to get — you know, it's a whole new reinvention." This mirrored various comments Broccoli has made for a long time.
The Express came back with an interview with Gregg Wilson, son of Eon's Michael G. Wilson (Barbara Broccoli's half-brother). Most of the interview was about the reality show. The final question was about Bond 26. The younger Wilson replied: "No plans on making the next Bond at this stage. There will be another Bond someday, but we're not actively developing it."

Complaining won't change anything. Amazon paid $8.45 billion to buy Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Bond's home studio. But the corporate giant either can't or won't get Eon to change its mind.
Earlier this week, David Zaritsky's The Bond Experience YouTube channel had a video about "the long road ahead" for Bond 26 and making the best of it:
