This vacation wasn't as relaxing as I would have hoped. I have been juicing the last couple of days. Today will be a complete juice fast. My diet wasn't the greatest on this trip nor did I work out as I often do. I barely wrote on my blog or edited my novel. However, I enjoyed the the travel and time with my family. We saw so many different parts of the country.
The first things I do when I get home is empty the car and start the laundry. I wasn't at all pleased that our house sitter didn't follow my standards, she left me a mess. My animals weren't taken care of well, my neighbor stepped in and took care of that. She waited until I was almost home to let me know because of all the things going on on this trip. I had prepaid the housesitter. I asked her to leave three days early. I returned to AN F U ON OUR WHITE BOARD. So, you might ask what I asked her to do 1. Feed and water the pigs and goats 2 x a day turn on the heat when it is cold. 2. Feed the chickens. (I had given the eggs to a young family down the street. 3. Water my plants. 4. Clean up after yourself. I want no sign of you when I get home. 5. Take out your trash to the curb on Wednesday. Yup, none of this was done. I am never seen such a messy person in my life. My neighbor's husband called my husband to suggest he hire a cleaner before I got into the house because I was going to be irate.
She was miffed that I had locked the master bedroom and the kids rooms. I do not like people in our personal spaces. This was because she has planned to make side money by renting out parts of our house. I swapped out my nice dishes, cookware, and other nicer items. I have decided this is the last time we have a house sitter. I will hire someone to take care of animals and chickens in the future. I don't care for people for staying in our house, I don't care to clean up after anyone that is not in our family.
This morning I started my day with a an hour of cardio and thirty minutes of weights. I cleaned the house from top to bottom. I stripped the beds. Our house feels like our house again.
