South Yorkshire Police is recruiting for the Detective Degree Holder Entry Programme course starting in September 2024
The event will take place on Thursday 9 November from 6pm-8pm, and will be held at Robert Dyson House, Wath Upon Dearne, S63 7EF.
Entry onto this course requires individuals to hold a degree in any subject.
This event will be of interest to anyone interested in a career as a Detective and attendees are invited to bring a friend/family member as a plus one; you do not need to already hold a degree just to attend the event.
There will be an opening presentation from Detective Superintendent Nicola Leach, followed by an overview of the police and academic training delivered by Sheffield Hallam University and SYP Training School. Attendees will also gain an understanding of what life as a detective could look like from DCI Khalil-Khan.
After the presentation, groups of candidates will be invited to take a tour of our training school, seeing the facilities they'll be training in if successful in your application to join South Yorkshire Police. The recruitment team will be on hand to advise on entry requirements and eligibility, as well as answering all your questions on the recruitment process and assessment criteria.
The event will also allow attendees the opportunity to speak to SYP facilitators which include:
