South Yorkshire's Community Fund (SWEF) has a new fund available for young people in South Yorkshire who need support with business start up costs that they may not be able to otherwise afford.
The grants are of up to £2,000 and are particularly aimed at those who are not in education, employment or training. These are grants, not loans, and do not require repayment.
Individuals are eligible to apply for grants if they are:
Aged 18 to 30
Currently live in South Yorkshire
Are from a low income household or facing other challenges preventing them from developing a business
Are running a business that has been trading for under two years (including those about to start a new business)
