| dep31 Dec 10 | It never ceases to amaze me how much kale reduces in size. I started with a half a bin of kale leaves. Recovered the stems, tore into 1-2" pieces, washed thoroughly in cool water, drained and spun dry in the salad spinner. Then vacuum-sealed. The result: enough for three big batches of soup, taking up a smaller volume of space than my Bible. Crazy. There's still another couple of kale plants out there. I'm going to check on them periodically throughout winter to see how they're faring. At least one will hopefully survive to provide some early greens in the spring. | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
