| Homemaking in the Dunes Dec 16 | Daily writing prompt What skills or lessons have you learned recently? Creavity is something I have always made part of my life. My former profession, I didn't feel as though I created tangible works. Often, my contract would be done before a client had acchieved their goals. Sometimes, I didn't see the results of my work until years later. I planted seeds that took people awhile to develop. Sure, at the end of my day, I had tons of SOAP notes. Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan. My first set of kids often told people that I wrote notes for a living. My creativity needed to be fed in tangible. I stenciled walls, learned to sew, do repairs, and made complicated recipes. Every week, I had a project. I made furniture from kits. In the past year, I learned to use wood wooking tools and machines. I learned to make funiture. I have also learned metal working as well, so I could make hairpin legs for tables. I have made pieces for gifts and for sell. I love the smell of fresh cut wood, the need to have measurements exact, and the sound of hammering it together. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
