I usually wait three or four weeks before writing something, but these days I don't have to and all because our Government are constantly putting their 12 inch sized boots in to try and make a quick buck without the public knowing. With everyone trying to take over the leadership with a quick thrust of their knives in the back, perhaps we won't have to wait too long.
Risky Sunhat has taken on the Greek Government because he is scared he might lose his marbles. If you ask me he certainly has! Perhaps there are more important things to worry about in the United Kingdom that he should be dealing with.
The Chancellor of Exchequer said there wouldn't be any cuts, then thinking about future elections, decided they could give back some of the money they have filched from the public over the years since they have been in power. A man in two minds reminds me of Jekyll and Hyde, both quite evil. The smirky smiles from Risky Sunhat and his cronies behind the Chancellor when he spoke of those generous cuts – jolly good wheeze Bunter!
Of course the biggest mistake by Risky Sunhat is inviting an ex Prime Minister back in the folds of the Government and to give him Lord status instantly, who must be laughing all the way to the bank. Watch your back Risky he could be after your job, especially if he denies his rank as Lord of sod all. It is a case of "Jobs for the Boys!" again.
I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and of course a Happy and Healthy New Year 2024, but with this government I don't think so, because sooner than later, some bright spark will introduce a new tax and gather all the money back that they graciously gave the public in 2023 because it made them feel good inside at the time. This event will happen after they win the next election, having duped the public again with their generosity and the public will flock to the polls and vote for the CONS again, having not learnt from the past.
As usual there are no clear CUT changes for Pensioners, so it looks like we will all have to stir the Chancellor's Pot to get rid of the steam to see what we are going to get and I hope everybody will be excited at the 1% reduction we will be getting and instead of the usual 20% it will be 19% tax we will have to pay on the first of three stages of the personal tax allowance.
It looks like the Honeymoon of commitment by the Government to woo the Pensioners to vote for them at the next election is to start in April 2024 when they promise on paper to give pensioners an 8.5% rise which gives a weekly sum of £203.85 making an annual amount of £10,636. (just think a lot less than an MP's monthly pay) and the same the following year 2024/25 and the following year 2025/2026 a rise of 7.8%.
Just remember how many people died from COVID-19 because of the Government's bungling! Your loved ones that couldn't attend the funerals because of the rules set by Doris, who didn't think it applied to him and his government. Don't be fooled by this Government's strategy, they just want your vote. If they get their way, the money will all be taken away by some lame excuse!
I have also noticed that every road I have mentioned in my reports that needed urgent repair have been filled in, probably over night! Is somebody reading my columns?
"I say Carruthers – what a wheeze!"
The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so! Swear words are not accepted.
