The heaven be glad and the earth rejoice.
Psalm 96 Verse 11: "Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea and all that fills it resound".
At this Christmas time it is important to reflect on Who Christ Jesus really is. So we take our reflection on why 'The heavens be glad and the earth rejoice', from the Book of Colossians:
Colossians 1 verse 15 to 18:
V15: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation*",
V16: because by him everything was created in heaven and on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things were created through Him and for Him".
V17: "He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together".
V18: "he is also the head of the body, the church".
The preexistence of Jesus is one of the most important doctrines. The Deity of Christ Jesus rests on it. The virgin birth is unique in history, but it is not what made Christ Jesus Savior, His teachings, healing and sacrifice make sense only if He was truly God.
It is almost impossible to understand, but God took on flesh. Gospel of John says it this way, John 1 verse 14:
"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. and we beheld His glory. the glory as of the only begotten of The Father, full of grace and truth".
John Gospel again referring to Christ Jesus, we can read from John 1 to 5; But for the point of this reflection let us look at verse 2 and 3:
V 2: "He was with God in the beginning,V3 All Things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created".
At This Christmas time let The Christ of Christmas Who always preexisted with God, take hold of our lives, to give us a new beginning, a new purpose and a new destiny.
God Bless.
