Kindness Unending
One of the hardest things to do is to love others who do not love us back.
Showing kindness to someone who acts badly towards us is the fruit of following Our Lord and Our Friend.
In the Book of Hosea, we read about a beautiful picture of unselfishness and persistent kindness. Hosea pursues his unfaithful wife, Gomer.
Hosea would not let her go, much like God loves His creation, despite the number of times His creation rejects Him.
Our Lord and Our Friend is not like us. If we turn away from Him, His kindness does not end. He longs for us to turn to Him.
The Cross is the greatest Love Story. God gave what He didn't have to give for any 'whosoever'.
The pulsating heart of the Christian faith is the Cross. Christ Jesus stands where we should have stood and receives the punishment we should have received. He died the death we should have died. Through His resurrection He gives us New Life we could never have achieved.
He took our place The Righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us back to Himself and impart to us His righteousness and set us free from the power of sin [Wrongdoing that are no good for our lives} and death.
God loves us in this way, we should love ourselves {not selfishly} but love ourselves by knowing who we are in Him.
Romans 8 Verse 1and 2: V1: "Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus".
V2:
"Because the Spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death".
1 John 4 Verse 7: "Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and know God.
God Bless.
